As 2025 comes to a close, we pause to reflect on a year shaped by meaningful growth.
Thanks to the trust and collaboration of our clients and partners, we reached more than 200,000 members this year. That represents 200,000 seafarers and family members with access to quality health insurance.
In 2025 alone, we facilitated 108,000 medical cases, including 34,000 involving children.

Behind every case is a person and a family, highlighting the importance of caring for the industry’s most vital asset—its people. This is especially relevant during the holiday season, when many seafarers are spending time away from home.
We also closed the year with the publication of the Re:fresh Female Report 2025. The strong interest in the report reflects a growing number of companies that recognize the importance of supporting women seafarers and promoting equal treatment. Their engagement is helping turn ideas into action and create safer, more welcoming workplaces at sea.
Taken together, these numbers and developments tell a broader story: an industry increasingly prioritizing seafarers’ health and wellbeing, including inclusion, safety, and support for all seafarers.
As we step into 2026, Marine Benefits’ 20th anniversary year, we remain focused on supporting the improved health and wellbeing of seafarers and their families.
Thank you to our clients, partners, and team members for your trust and collaboration throughout the year. Together, we enter the new year committed to supporting a healthier and more sustainable future for seafarers worldwide.
Happy holidays from all of us at Marine Benefits,
Casper Meland
