Staying close to our clients and the maritime industry is a key part of how we develop meaningful support for seafarers. In this update, we share where Marine Benefits will be attending upcoming events throughout April, as well as conferences our colleagues have recently participated in to gain insights and knowledge that help us better support our clients and their seafarers.
Where We’re Heading
Bergen Shipping Voyage 2026
One of our colleagues, Ingrid Botheim, will be joining the final leg of The Bergen Shipping Voyage from 10–18 April 2026, sailing from Dublin to Bergen. The Bergen Shipping Voyage brings together professionals from across the maritime industry on board Statsraad Lehmkuhl, one of the world’s oldest and largest sailing ships still in operation.
After a 12‑month expedition, Statsraad Lehmkuhl returns to Bergen as a floating ambassador for the United Nations Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development. During the journey, the ship has visited 26 ports across three continents, engaging stakeholders from around the world. The return to Bergen marks the end of a unique ocean journey, and at the same time signals the start of One Ocean Week 2026.
This initiative focuses on professional development, collaboration, and shared learning at sea. Taking part in the voyage provides valuable insights into leadership, teamwork, and industry perspectives. We wish Ingrid the very best on what will undoubtedly be a valuable and impressive experience.

One Ocean Week 2026
Following the arrival of Statsraad Lehmkuhl in Bergen, Marine Benefits will host a stand on board Trans Sol, a 166‑metre cargo vessel, alongside other maritime companies from 18–20 April.
As part of our commitment to equal opportunities at sea and in sport, we will be joined by two players from the Brann Women’s team, highlighting shared values around inclusion and equal opportunities for both seafarers and women in the maritime industry. Stop by our booth for activities and a chance to win some prizes.
Singapore Maritime Week
Our CEO, Casper Meland, and Chief Underwriting Officer, Stefan Andreasson, will be in Singapore during Singapore Maritime Week from 20–24 April. Meeting clients face to face and building new connections at these key events helps us stay closely connected to industry developments and better understand how we can continue to improve and adapt our support for both our clients and the seafarers they serve.
Where We’ve Been
Insurtech Insights
Two of our colleagues recently attended Insurtech Insights Europe, a leading event bringing together insurance and technology professionals from across the industry. Through panel discussions and expert sessions, our team gained insights into digital innovation, emerging trends, and new approaches to insurance — knowledge that helps us continue developing relevant solutions for our customers.

Tintech London
Marine Benefits attended TINtech London Market 2026, a key industry forum focused on technology, data, and operational change in insurance. Key discussions highlighted the importance of strong data foundations, scalable digital processes, and turning insight into action. These learnings support how Marine Benefits continues to develop practical, data‑driven solutions that strengthen prevention, claims insight, and wellbeing support.
